An Invitation from the Pastor of First Baptist, Berkeley

Greetings, PCBA friends!

This Sunday, November 8, at FBC Berkeley we will welcome an amazing woman to our pulpit, Rev. Dr. Barbara Jim-George, minister and social activist,  member of Allen Temple Baptist Church, founder and CEO of a new  non-profit: Transforming Ministries Group.

Barbara works directly with young people endangered by sexual trafficking on the streets of Oakland. She is also a graduate of ABSW, with both MDiv and DMin degrees from our seminary.

I’ve chosen some powerful hymns and songs for us to sing, to go with what is sure to be a prophetic word from Dr. Jim-George.

Won’t you join us for worship at 10:00 am? We meet at ABSW in Crouch Classroom (first floor of Hobart Hall, 2606 Dwight Way in Berkeley).

Food and fellowship follow the service. At 11:45 am, Barbara will lead our Adult Education Forum, and you are warmly invited to stay for this, if you can.

Parking is on the street or in the ABSW parking lot off Benvenue Avenue (next to the ABSW apartment buildings).

If you need any further info I’ll be glad to offer it!

Blessings,
Nancy Hall
Pastor
